How to get a Tanzanian Visa at Kilimanjaro Airport

All travelers will require a passport that remain valid for at least 6 months longer than your expected visit. You will also need to present proof that you have a return ticket, and proof that you have sufficient money to sustain yourself during your stay in Tanzania.

eVisatanzania can be purchased upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport but you can expect long queues and the process may take an extra hour or more to complete.

Also, we have to note that the Tanzanian High Commission states that they have the right to deny any e visatanzania. Thus we highly recommend travelers to get their e-visatanzania in advance to avoid this situation upon arrival.

Once you land in the Kilimanjaro Airport, you will either be in one of these situations:

-I have a visa

-I don’t have a visa.

Travelers that have a e visatanzania

  • Show your Yellow Fever Certificate

For both cases, you will require to have your Yellow Fever Certificate and get vaccinated.

If not then you can get vaccinated at the airport at a cost of 50$ for a non-Tanzanian citizen which may take a lot of time.

Travelers that don’t have a Tanzania visa

  • Show your Yellow Fever Certificate
  • Blue Tanzania eVisa immigration form

After the yellow certificate you will have to fill your details in a standard immigration form which is simple and easy to fill.

  • Pay the Tanzania visa fee
  • Get your photo taken, passport stamped and visa placed in your passport
  • Get your finger prints scanned.
