Historical attractions include the Pataleshwar rock temple, the Aga Khan Palace, Shaniwarwada, Lal Mahal and Fort Sinhagad. Shinde Chhatri, located in Wanowrie, is a memorial dedicated to the great Satara Maratha, Mahadaji Shinde (Scindia).
